About Clare

Clare has been practicing yoga for almost 3 decades, but came to teaching in 2017 after taking her teacher training course at Bristol School of Yoga. As an acupuncturist she used her personal yoga practice to keep her mind, body and spirit in a healthy and balanced state, discovering how all aspects of yoga could uplift, and also support her in difficult times. Yoga, not just as an exercise but as a conscious way of life, can be the most enriching and healing path we can take.

Clare’s passions lie not just with yoga, but other outdoor activities that embrace living in Somerset… gardening, walking, wild swimming, and above all caring for the beautiful environment we are lucky enough to live in. However all of these pasttimes are brought to life with the conscious awareness that a regular yoga and meditation practice offers, bringing the seemingly ordinary to shine.

Clare has been teaching in South Somerset for four years since moving here with her family. The last of which has been done via zoom which has brought both challenges and opportunities.

As we now emerge from this year of lockdowns and head back to the village halls and communal spaces, she is very excited to share her new timetable, both in the halls, on line, and via videos here on the website.
